People in more than 200 countries are now affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. For those forced to flee their homes by persecution, conflict and disaster, and already dealing with the toughest circumstances imaginable, the stakes are high.

Protect reFugees

One of our greatest ever tests

As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads around the world, the months to come will be full of questions and challenges for all of us - and it's clear this is becoming one of the greatest tests we've ever been set.

Our commitment to preventing and responding to this international health emergency

Our goals are to ensure that refugees have access to adequate hygiene equipment and healthcare, information about how to prevent the virus spreading, and cash assistance to help them make ends meet.

Working with national governments and other partners, UNHCR aims to protect refugees, displaced people and their host communities during and after this global health emergency.

But we can’t do this alone, please donate TODAY.

DONATE TODAY

You can help to protect thousands of vulnerable refugees against the COVID-19 pandemic with:

  • Face masks, soap and hand sanitiser
  • Hand washing stations in camps and settlements
  • Training to healthcare staff and laboratory diagnostics to test for infection
  • Information and awareness campaigns
  • Cash assistance for families who have lost their livelihoods

Due to the fast-changing nature of this crisis, we may also need to supplement national responses at short notice, including infection prevention and control, coordination, planning and monitoring.

Please help today to ensure we are prepared and can do all we can to contain this emergency.
