UNHCR's Emergency Response

UNHCR works in more than 130 countries around the world and over 90% of our workforce are based in field locations. We are often first in and last out in a refugee crisis, providing vulnerable families with shelter, water and other survival essentials.

UNHCR has been responding to emergencies for over 70 years all over the world and has a worldwide network of over 20,000 staff, including trained experts in emergency response and preparedness ready to drop everything in the event of rapid deployment across the world.
